Fornet dissolves twisting guitar-inflected sounds into a personal world in which tinkered awkwardness spars with contorted freedom. Estranged fragments, minimalist dazzles and polished sentiment mesh with a pop texture on ‘Anti-tragedy’, sometimes clinging on to the group’s sense of mystery, at other times evoking an upbeat high.
