Belgian five-piece Fornet wavers between twisting guitar-inflected sounds and fearless rhythms in a way that candidly expresses their nature. Formed by 5 close friends, their origins go way back to their early adolescence.
Early 2017, the band gathered material to record its debut EP together with Bert Vliegen (Sophia, Teen Creeps). This project is filled with monotonous rhythms, gleaming grooves and knife-edged guitars and shows the band’s post-punk and kraut influences. The self-titled EP was very well received and gave the band the well-earned respect from Belgiums alternative scene. They topped off their exquisite year by winning Limbomania, a well-regarded regional music competition.
In October 2018, the band released the double single 'Winter/Milk', two songs dealing about loss and detachment, yearning, and divergent realities. Since then, the band toured all over Belgium and appeared on prominent festivals such as Le Guess Who, Best Kept Secret and Pukkelpop.
'Anti-Tragedy', the band's newest release, will be out March 13th, 2020.
